Who is
Paint by Laverty
Based in Scotland, I create avant-garde, abstract paintings that explore the emotional landscape of human experience. Through Paint By Laverty, my work transforms personal moments—struggles, growth, resilience—into bold visual narratives. I aim to spark reflection and emotional connection through every piece.

Make it stand out.
-
Blood Moon
A visual meditation on transformation, tension and the cycle of emotion. Symbolising internal awakening. I would like to invite the viewer to interpret themes of chaos, renewal, and hidden energies.
-
Haze
Drifting between defiance and allure which gives off the essence of mystery, rebellion and quiet intensity. This piece invites the viewer to step into the Haze and feel the unspoken stories within the rising smoke.
-
Lost in Thought
Exploring the delicate boundary where memories and emotions blur into abstractionism. The raw texture and distressed layers show a narrative of inner turmoil, resilience and self discovery.
-
Lyra
This striking piece blends realism with abstraction. You can feel the emotion of solitude and an evolving journey. Showing even in darkness there is light and your own unique individual presence and glow shines through.
-
Glow
This piece captures self assurance and peace. Reflecting inner growth, strength and confidence. Glow evokes liberation and basking in the light of your own energy.
-
Salvation
Salvation is not found in perfection, but in the cracked places where light enters. With this piece I ask the viewers to confront both pain and the promise in that the journey you are taking may be hard but worthwhile.
-
Golden Hour
In a wold increasingly driven by speed and clarity this painting invites you to pause and to sit with deliberation, rather than define. It asks: What does light leave behind when it goes.
-
Red Wood
The forest here isn't a landscape but a reflection of internal terrain - dark, quiet and things yet to face. This piece is meant to hold space for what we carry.
-
By Yonder
A moment of quiet reflection. Confronting the vast unknown with inner strength. This piece shows isolation, wonder and the human desire to find meaning and consider what's out of reach.
-
Wastelands
This piece does not offer resolution. It invites reflection. Is this sunrise after collapse or a sunset before it? Is the land you paved yourself dead or waiting for awakening and ready for reflurishing
This work is not a narrative, but a question - is this the end or the beginning.
-
Two Moons
This piece reflects how we often discover a second truth or version of ourselves, when we take time to look deeper. This painting helps embrace uncertainty and trust your process and follow the light even when it's fragmented.
-
The Edge of Forever
An inner journey of confronting darkness and embracing light through despair and renewal. This piece shows resilience and personal growth. A homage to that edge we all face and the forever we each create by choosing to step through it.
-
The Spill
An interplay between chaos and calm this piece invites contemplation, with a powerful statement on shifting tides of the human experience. The captivating exploration of depth and emotion draws you to find your depths.
-
The Portal
This piece reflects on the moment of standing at the threshold of a place of uncertainty, possibilities and transformation inviting tension between order and the unknown.
-
Echoes of Me
A reflection of how identity can feel fragmented - shaped by memories, emotion and moments that blur over time. This piece captures the quiet space between who I was and who I am becoming.
-
Tainted
A contrast between imperfection, erosion and emerging through the cracks of struggle. This piece shows decay interwoven with resilience embodying beauty in brokenness.
-
Ignition
A raw moment of transformation. This piece shows the spark when chaos meets creation. An emotional detonation - A tribute to the unseen forces that set us in motion.
-
Through the Static
This piece reflects fascination with how we find meaning and connection amid disassociation. How we can emerge through interference like a clear signal breaking through static.
-
Inferno
This piece reflects moments of rupture, resilience and renewal. I invite the viewer to confront the heat of their own exploration of intensity they are facing.
-
Obsidian
This piece reflects on inner stillness and contemplation. Fractured by hidden memories and subconscious. Obsidian becomes a mirror and a mask, revealing enough to provoke but not enough to resolve.
